The Eastern Kentucky University Department of Biological Sciences provides access to several student organizations. If you want to meet others with similar interests, “beef-up” your resume when applying for a professional school, or be involved in volunteer work, joining a student organization is for you.
Phi Sigma Biological Honor Society
Students who have completed at least 60 hours of coursework and have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or better are invited to join this organization.

The EKU Pre-Professional Health Society is open to anyone on a pre-professional track (Pre-Med, Pre-Vet, Pre-PA, etc.). This organization meets every other Thursday from 5-6pm in 4101. Join our Facebook group at EKU Pre-Professional Health Society.
Greenhouse Volunteers
The department sometimes utilizes volunteers to help in the greenhouse. Duties include weeding, watering, starting plants and more.
