Orientation is your first official welcome to the “Campus Beautiful.” For Summer 2022, we will have in-person and virtual options.
Any first-time, full-time student in the fall who has already been admitted should attend. If the student is over 21 years of age or are transferring in more than 24 credit hours, Orientation is optional.
- Go to the Orientation website.
- Select the campus where you want to attend Orientation.
- Follow the steps provided on that campus’ page to register for Orientation.
We will be offering in-person and virtual options for Orientation this summer. The registration page will include links to both the in-person and virtual dates. Select the date that works best for you.
Virtually, Orientation will take place for around 2.5 hours through Hop-in.
In-Person, Orientation will take place from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Orientation fee is $75. After registering for Orientation, students will receive an email with a direct link and instructions on how to pay the fee. The Orientation fee should be paid 3 days before your scheduled date.
You will have a pre-advising survey emailed to you. Once you complete and return the survey, an academic advisor will work with you to create your schedule. You will select classes and finalize your schedule on your orientation day.
Yes, you will be able to make any changes needed to your schedule. We suggest you contact your advisor.

YES. Orientation is required for all new incoming freshmen. If you are over 21 years of age or are transferring in more than 24 credit hours, Orientation is optional.

If I have questions about financial aid, housing, etc, will I be able to ask those during Orientation?
Representatives from these departments and more will be available during the day at Orientation to answer your questions.

There is not a deadline to register for Orientation; however, we do encourage students to register for a session as soon as possible as dates do fill up.
Orientation is offered throughout the entire summer. If you are taking classes during the summer and do not see a day that works with your schedule, please email orientation@eku.edu.
The health and wellbeing of EKU students, campus guests, faculty and staff is our primary concern. The university is following the most current CDC guidelines in conjunction with the Governor’s recommendations and the direction of the Madison County Health Department.
Please help us stay healthy at EKU by adhering to the following on your campus visit:
- Practice social distancing. Remain 6 feet apart from other families and staff whenever possible.
- Masks are optional for vaccinated individuals. Unvaccinated individuals are encouraged to wear a mask.
- Wash hands and use hand sanitizer frequently.
- Reschedule your Orientation if you are or have felt sick in the 24 hours before your scheduled date.
- Do not gather in common areas.
- Observe signage regarding foot traffic patterns and maximum occupancy.
- You can only have TWO individuals per registration (one registrant and one guest)
